Preface….

The history of Franciscan Clarist Congregation is the testimony of a handful of humble women being instrumentalized by the Almighty God for spreading His love. It is the saga of witnessing the Divine Providence in each and every juncture of life. With eight humble pious women and the paternal affection of Rt. Rev. Bp Charles Lavinge, FCC began its stride to “Holiness” with the armour of “Lowliness”. The seed that was planted by them at Changanasserry now has spread into 5 continents as 26 provinces and 4 regions in and out of India. Being in the 134^th year of grace, FCC continues to sing God's praises and glories for all He has done through FCC to channel the Divine Love to the world.

PNG first profession

Proud moments for FCC- 4 Native Papua New Guinea members professed as FCC Members

FCC thankfully bows before the Almighty for adding a golden moment in the history of FCC by gifting four native Papua New Guinean members to FCC. Their first profession was on 3^rd December 2022, at Mother of Divine Shepherd Cathedral, Mendi Diocese of Papua New Guinea which was solemnized amidst the Eucharistic Celebration by Bishop Donald Lippert. Five sisters including Mother Litty, Superior General of FCC, Rev. Sr. Lis Mary, the Provincial Superior of Devamatha Province Changanacherry, and many priests participated from India.
