Preface….
The history of Franciscan Clarist Congregation is the testimony of a handful of humble women being instrumentalized by the Almighty God for spreading His love. It is the saga of witnessing the Divine Providence in each and every juncture of life. With eight humble pious women and the paternal affection of Rt. Rev. Bp Charles Lavinge, FCC began its stride to “Holiness” with the armour of “Lowliness”. The seed that was planted by them at Changanasserry now has spread into 5 continents as 26 provinces and 4 regions in and out of India. Being in the 134th year of grace, FCC continues to sing God's praises and glories for all He has done through FCC to channel the Divine Love to the world.
Marthakkarayile Marathakam, as the name denotes is a collection of sparking memories from who encountered the precious gem of Marathakkara, Mother Norbet. The memoirs are collected, edited and competed by Rev.Sr Rose Virginia, Former Asst. Superior General of F.C.C, who have years of personal relationship with Mother Norbet. One can come across the life of Mother Norbert from different angles and perspectives, all when completed gives the picture of a life moving swiftly towards holiness without even moving out of the sick- bed .
